BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

I also never knew to put the mustard on the bologna. I grew up up eating bologna and grape jelly sandwiches. You must try it.

Fry thick sliced (about 1/4 inch) bologna in BBQ sauce until it is golden brown and put on a warm bun and eat - YUM!!! Oh and don't forget to clean up.

 Leigh (California) replies:
I like Rhonda's idea of frying bologna in BBQ sauce but you can also fry in ketchup. It will caramelize and is quite yummy. You might want to use a non stick pan.

 Tina (South Carolina) says:
Great recipe but you MUST use DUKES mayo and make sure you fry the bologna nice and brown, then fry a egg... It goes bread, mayo, bologna, egg, mayo then top it off with bread.

White bread, butter on one slice, mustard on other slice, two slices of bologna. Heaven.

 Barbara (New York) says:
Wow! First of all it is who is eating the sandwich. On a long day you would put it on an onion bagel, you do not need mustard because you would only be eating boars head bologna. Some prefer catsup (children do) and sometimes I do. Mayonaise is a perfectly good way to ruin a bologna sandwich. I was glad to see this recipe, I needed a laugh today. Mange~!

 Carol King (Ohio) says:
Kentucky. Place 2 slices of Sunbeam bread on table add mayo lightly to each. Place 1 slice of Big Red Bologna to slice of bread on left. Add mustard to and top with 2nd slice bologna. Add lettuce and tomato slice. Top with bread slice from the right. A big comfy chair/a book/a glass of milk makes this a prize winner.

Maybe I missed it but I cannot believe no one suggested adding potato chips. Bologna, mustard and plain Lays is the best sandwich ever.

Fry your bologna til it is semi burned, add a fried egg and Dukes mayo on toast. Add some Doritos. Wash it down with Pepsi or sweet tea. Now that is how you eat a fried bologna sammie!

When I saw 'bologna sand', I had to see what it was about. I'm close to 60, and my dad use to fry the bologna, put on top of Wonderbread, topped with Frito's and dribbled French's yellow mustard on. 4th of July is going to be a lot more fun, when I serve these. I wonder if my remaining 8 siblings remember? Thanks for the memory and the chuckles!!

Hint: Remove red waxy/plastic ring from the outside of your bologna slice, using a fork tine or sharp knife tip... just to ensure easy digestion!

 Kalynn (Texas) replies:
I was wondering when someone was going to suggest taking the red ring off the outside of the bologna... You did awesome!
