SWEDISH MEAT BALLS IN SLOW
COOKER
 
3 c. bread crumbs
1 1/2 c. milk
3 lbs. ground chuck
3 beaten eggs
1 lg. onion, finely chopped
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 cans beef broth
1 1/4 tsp. dill weed
1/4 tsp. pepper

Soak bread crumbs in milk for 5 minutes. Combine crumb mixture with meat, eggs, and next 4 ingredients. Shape into balls. Place in baking pan and brown in preheated 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Then place meat balls in crock pot and add broth, dill weed and pepper. Cook on low for 4 hours. Makes 4 dozen meat balls.
