EASY OVEN FRIED CHICKEN | |
1 to 2 lb. chicken legs or thighs 2 cups milk 4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter SEASONED COATING: 2 cups all-purpose flour salt and pepper paprika cinnamon powder Soak chicken pieces in milk for 15 minutes. You may want to keep them refrigerated during soaking. Combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and a dash of cinnamon powder in a large bowl. Amount of seasonings will vary by taste. Remove chicken pieces and allow to dry for a few minutes. Dip in flour mixture and set aside for 5 minutes. Dip chicken pieces in flour mixture again - this technique makes for an excellent, crispy crust! Preheat oven to 400°F. Melt butter in a baking pan lined with aluminum foil. Bake chicken pieces for approximately 15 minutes on each side (cooking time will vary depending on the size). Enjoy! Submitted by: Patti Wilson |
