SEA FOAM SALAD 
1 pkg. lime Jello
1 no. 2 1/2 can pears
2 (3 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
2 tbsp. cream or milk
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1 tsp. plain gelatin

Bring 1 cup liquid from canned pears to a boil and dissolve Jello in same. Dissolve gelatin in a few tablespoons of cold water in a cup. Stir and mix gelatin very quickly and add immediately to the hot Jello mixture; continue stirring until all is dissolved completely. Soften cream cheese, add 2 tablespoons cream (or milk) and beat to creamy consistency. When Jello is cool, beat in cheese. Set in the refrigerator until SLIGHTLY thickened. Mash pears and add to thickened Jello. Whip cream and fold into Jello mixture. Pour into a ring or star shaped mold. Refrigerate overnight. Decorate with maraschino cherries or a fruit of your choice.
