5 c. vinegar
5 c. sugar
3 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
1 onion (medium)
1 gal. cucumbers, cut up

Combine all ingredients except cucumbers in large kettle, simmer for 10 minutes. Add cucumbers and boil for only 5 minutes. Pack in jars hot and cover with syrup. Makes 8 pints.
