CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. shortening (cooking oil)
3 c. sugar
5 lg. eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and oil with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each one. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and vanilla. Pour batter into greased and floured bundt or tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
