CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. Crisco

Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar, gradually and cream. Add eggs one at a time and beat thoroughly after each. Sift flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder together. Add to other mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

ICING: Mix all ingredients well. Bring to boil and cook vigorously for 2 minutes. Take off stove and let cool for a few minutes. Beat until thick and creamy.
