STRAWBERRY TEA CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
6 eggs, separated
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 pt. whipped cream, sweetened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. milk
2 pts. fresh or frozen strawberries

Cream butter and sugar, add salt, nutmeg, egg yolks, lemon peel, vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy (1 minute). Stir in baking powder. At low speed blend in flour alternately with milk. In another bowl beat egg whites. Fold into batter. Pour into a greased 10" tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Wrap and store 24 hours. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Garnish with cream and strawberries.
