JAYNE'S SLOW COOKER BARBECUE RIBS | |
1 slab country style ribs 1 (16 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce (your favorite) fresh garlic cloves water 1 onion, thinly sliced 2 cups rice Cut holes all over the rib and put freshly peeled garlic cloves into each hole. Place in a Dutch oven or a pasta pan and fill with water til you cover ribs. Boil for 1 hour then place in refrigerator overnight (juice and all). When ready the next day to cook, pull ribs out of water and put them into the slow cooker. Note: Do not discard juice! Pour entire bottle of barbecue sauce over ribs and fill bottle with water about 1/2 way and rinse bottle. Then pour water over ribs. Peel and thinly slice onion and add to slow cooker as well. Place lid on slow cooker. Set slow cooker to LOW and cook for 4 to 6 hours. In the meantime take reserved juice and pour 2 cups rice into juice and place pan onto stove and bring to a boil and cook til juice is all gone and rice is cooked. Serve with a salad and dig in and enjoy. God Bless. Submitted by: Jayne Wright |
