BOURBON BALLS 
60 vanilla wafers, finely crushed
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. bourbon
1/4 c. light corn syrup
Granulated sugar

Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, nuts, powdered sugar and cocoa. Stir in bourbon and corn syrup. If necessary add about 1 1/4 teaspoons of water so mixture can be shaped into 3/4 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Store in tightly covered container; flavor improves on standing. 4 dozen.
