BROWNIE PUDDING DESSERT 
Batter:
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. baking cocoa (not drink mix)
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Sauce:
1 c. brown sugar, packed
4 tbsp. baking cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water

Heat oven to 350 degrees. For the batter, sift the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 1 tablespoon baking cocoa into a bowl. Add milk, melted butter and vanilla until smooth. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into a well greased 8 inch square baking pan.

For the sauce, mix brown sugar and 4 tablespoons cocoa and sprinkle over the unbaked batter in the pan. Pour the hot water gently over all. Bake for 45 minutes.

Tastes best when slightly warm. Good with vanilla ice cream. Makes 8 servings.
