APPLE PAN CAKE | |
Spread 1 can apple pie filling in 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt over apples. Mix: 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2/3 cup oil. Pour over dry ingredients, stir lightly. Top with 1/2 cup walnut bits. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. TOPPING FOR APPLE PAN CAKE While cake bakes combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup sour cream, and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda in small saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. When cake is done, prick with a fork and pour mixture over it. |
