FARM-STYLE GREEN BEANS 
4 slices bacon, cut up
1 lb. green beans, washed & cut up (4 c.)
2 med. onions, sliced
3 med. tomatoes (2 c.), peeled & chopped
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Cook bacon, drain. Reserve 3 tablespoons drippings. Set bacon aside. In medium saucepan, combine beans, onions, tomatoes, water, salt and pepper. Bring to boiling. Cover; reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until beans are tender. Stir in reserved bacon drippings. Season to taste. Pour into serving bowl. Top with bacon pieces. Makes 8 servings.

NOTE: If you use can vegetables you reduce cooking time.
