APPLE CUSTARD KUCHEN 
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter

Work the above ingredients together until crumbly. Pat mixture into ungreased 8 inch square pan.

2 c. sliced apples
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Arrange apples in pan over crust. Add remaining sugar. Bake 15 minutes in 400 degree oven then cover with:

2 beaten egg yolks
1 c. heavy cream

Bake until custard is set and the edge is brown. 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
