GRANDMA'S ROLLED GINGER COOKIES 
2 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. butter
2 tbsp. baking soda
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
6-7 c. flour

In saucepan combine molasses, sugar, shortening and butter and soda; bring to a boil, then cool. Add eggs, ginger, cinnamon, salt and enough flour to form stiff dough. Roll 1/4 inch thick; cut in desired shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 minutes.
