GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. lard or butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
3 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. buttermilk
about 5 c. flour

Chill. Roll and cut with cookie cutter.

Bake at 400°F.
