PINEAPPLE CHESS PIE | |
2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. flour 1 tbsp. cornmeal 1 stick butter, melted 3 eggs 1/2 c. milk 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, including juice Beat slightly the three eggs, add the 1/2 cup milk, heat until just warm, add the stick of melted butter to the two cups of sugar mixed with the flour and corn meal. Now add this to the egg and milk mixture. Add the can of pineapple, heat until just warm. Pour into unbaked 9 or 10 inch pie shell. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees then let sit in stove another 5 or 10 minutes until firm. |
