CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. orange juice
2 beaten eggs
3 + c. cranberries
1 c. chopped nuts

Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Combine juice and eggs, add to dry, mixing just to moisten, fold in berries and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees in 2 greased loaf pans for approximately 60 minutes. (Sometimes towards the end, I lower heat so bottom of bread doesn't burn if bread needs longer baking.)
