Tender and Tasty!! I was skeptical about chuck steak (I'm a T-bone gal) but it was on sale...glad I found this recipe. No mushroom soup, used French onion instead and added carrots and thyme, salt & pepper. Seared steak on both sides before placing in oven. Absolutely Delicious my husband loved it!!! Thx so much :)

Instead of salt, season salt. A sprinkle of old bay, slice onion, slice mushroom. Potato and carrots along side. Cream of mushroom soup on top of it.

Tried this tonight and it turned out great! I had to use gluten free pizza dough and sodium free bullion to keep the allergies away. Man I am so happy. I will do this again.

I used small chucks steaks (5) and placed them in a casserole dish. Then I covered with 1 can cream of mushroom soup. I peeled and diced 4 potatoes I minced jalapeno pepper followed salt/pepper and onion flakes. Boom. It turned out great.

Rather than using packaged ingredients, I browned my chuck steak on both sides using a small amount of olive oil, add 14 oz of diced tomatoes, I use fresh from the garden, 1/2 cup of Sherry or red wine, 1 large onion, salt and pepper to taste, cover and let bake in a 300 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. I roast potatoes, carrots and more onions in an open 9 x 13 glass dish to roast veggies at the same time. A little olive oil in bottom of pan, cut up veggies in large pieces and spray olive oil on top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. The veggies will be done the same time as the roast. Delicious!

I didn't have any onion soup mix so instead I threw in half a chopped onion and several cloves of garlic as well as coating my steak in olive oil salt pepper and parsley. Also added a cup of red wine. Came out soft and delicious.

Awesome! I don't have any cream of mushroom soup or onion soup and was trying NOT to go to the store. This helps a lot.

This was my first time ever making a chuck steak in the oven and i have to say this recipe was so easy to do. Even though I made it with my own ingredients, it came out soft and tasty.

I had this chuck steak from the calf we had butchered but had no idea how to cook it except on the grill. Found this & my family loved it. My husband who doesn't like mushrooms at all ate 2 servings of everything. Good home cooked meal that's easy to prepare, fairly cheap, & feeds quiet a few. My family consists of 4 adults & 2 children. Made with 2 chuck steaks.

 Jen (Hawaii) says:
Out of necessity I did a couple of things different. I only used onion soup as I had no mushroom soup. I covered the steak in olive oil, salt and pepper and I added some sage. It was delicious. I will try it as is next time. Thank you :-)
