GRANDMOTHER'S CHOCOLATE MINT
STICKS
 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in chocolate. Stir in flour, then nuts. Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter, soft
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract

Combine and spread on cooled brownie layer.

CHOCOLATE GLAZE:

1 (1 oz.) square unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tbsp. butter, soft, melted

Spread over frosting. Chill until firm. Yield: 40 bars
