CHOCOLATE MINT STICKS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 (1 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. slivered almonds

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in eggs. Stir in chocolate. Add flour and nuts. Mix well, pour into greased 8 or 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

2 STEP:

Peppermint Frosting (below)
1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 tbsp. butter

Cool and frost with peppermint frosting. Let stand until firm. Melt 1 ounce square with 1 tablespoon butter and spread over frosting. Chill until firm and cut into bars.

PEPPERMINT FROSTING:

Cream 2 tablespoons butter. Gradually add 1 cup sifted powdered sugar. Blend in 1 tablespoon milk and 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract.
