APPLE CAKE WITH CARAMEL SAUCE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
4 c. dried apples
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients; stir in apples and vanilla. Bake in greased 9x13 pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

CARAMEL SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cream
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar

Melt butter and add remaining ingredients. Stir until mixture thickens. Serve over warm cake.
