SPANISH RICE 
1 clove garlic, leave whole
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 of an 8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 heaping tbsp. Grandma's Spanish Seasoning Chili Powder
1 1/2 c. long grained rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 c. water
1 tbsp. oil

Add oil to a large skillet. When hot brown garlic. Remove garlic and add rice. When rice is browned, add onion and stir well. When onion is limp add tomato sauce, chili powder and water. Stir well. Add salt and pepper. Cover. When mixture starts to boil rapidly lower heat and continue cooking until moisture is absorbed, about 20 minutes. Serves 6.
