SCALLOPED POTATOES AU GRATIN 
3 c. potatoes, scalloped
1 c. water, or so
1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. grated cheese
Garlic powder (optional)
1/2 sm. onion, chopped

Put potatoes, water, milk, butter, and onions in electric skillet at 375 degrees or large fry pan on medium/medium high. Sprinkle garlic powder as desired along with salt and pepper. Cover and let cook, stirring occasionally, but don't let it boil dry. Add more water as needed until potatoes are cooked. Then uncover and let it boil until the sauce thickens. Sprinkle cheese over top. D/C heat. Cover, let sit for 2-3 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve. Serves 4-5.
