GERMAN SAUSAGE AND POTATOES AU GRATIN | |
1 lb. German sausage 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. butter 1 can mushroom soup 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 tbsp. pimento 5 c. sliced potatoes 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese Combine soup, milk, onions, green pepper, pimento, salt and pepper. Blend well. Place 1/2 of potatoes in 2 quart casserole. Add 1/2 of sausage, sliced. Cover with 1/2 of soup mixture. Repeat a second layer. Spot with butter. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes. Remove cover, add cheese and return to oven. Bake uncovered 10 minutes longer. |
