2 cups sugar
6 tbsp. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Put all ingredients except vanilla in the upper part of a double boiler, with water in the lower part boiling.

Beat mixture with an egg beater for 7 minutes. Remove from heat, add flavoring and beat for a few more minutes until cool.
