BANANA PEPPERS 
2 gallons banana peppers
2 (14 oz.) bottles catsup
1/2 pt. Wesson oil
1 pt. sugar
1 pt. vinegar
1 tbsp. salt

Remove all seeds from peppers. Cut into rings. Rinse and drain. Place pepper rings into jars. Boil other ingredients 10 minutes and pour over peppers in jars and seal.

I made half of this recipe. My son called from Ohio wanting more of them. My granddaughter and her boyfriend stated they are the best banana peppers they had ever eaten. It is the only recipe I will use now. They are really good.

I scaled down the recipe for the amount of peppers I had and I used mild salsa instead of ketchup. I am not a real pepper lover, and I had never pickled banana peppers before, so I was anxious to taste these. Delicious! I just ate the entire pint jar full.
