Drop Sugar Cookies

My favorite sugar cookie recipe. They're soft and chewy with a slightly crisp edge. Perfect! You can't miss. I use 1/2 tsp. baking soda instead of the 1 tsp. baking powder.

Flavor was good, but these cookies spread far too much. The colored sugar was not very attractive because of the excessive spreading. If I use this recipe again, I'd skip the colored sugar in favor of a chocolate drizzle or dusting of powdered sugar.
