AUNT FANNY'S SQUASH 
3 lbs. yellow summer squash
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. cracker meal or bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 eggs
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. sugar

Salt and pepper may be increased to suit taste.

Wash and cut up squash. Boil until tender, drain thoroughly, then mash. Add all ingredients except 1/2 of butter to squash. Melt remaining butter. Pour mixture in baking dish, then spread melted butter over top and sprinkle with a little cracker meal. This is extra cracker meal, not the 1/2 cup that is added to mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until brown on top.
