ASPARAGUS AND BACON CASSEROLE 
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
Dash of paprika
1 c. milk
1 c. liquid from canned asparagus
8 strips crisply fried bacon
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans asparagus
Bread crumbs

Make a cream sauce with first 7 ingredients. In a 2-quart casserole, make 2 layers each of asparagus and bacon. Pour cream sauce over all. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly.
