WET COCONUT CAKE | |
1 white cake mix 1 c. milk 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip or La Creme 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. coconut flavoring 1 sm. box (or can) Angel Flake coconut Make according to directions and bake in sheet pan. Heat milk and sugar together and add coconut flavoring (sugar must be melted). After cake is done, remove from oven and punch holes through cake with a fork. Pour milk mixture (as described above) over cake. After cake cools, frost with Cool Whip (or La Creme) and sprinkle with coconut flakes. Pat coconut into Cool Whip lightly. Refrigerate. Can use a can of cream of coconut instead of milk, sugar and flavoring mixture. Shake can well and pour over hot cake as before. |
