HUMMUS (ARABIAN STYLE) 
1 can/jar chickpeas drained
1 small yogurt
2-3 tablespoons of tahini
1-3 cloves garlic
lemon juice (as much as you like)
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper

Garnish:

olive oil, olives, or summak spice

** yogurt is used to soften the batter, you can substitute yogurt with 1/2 cup of chickpea juice.

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Stop the blender and stir the batter well from time to time. Spread hummus on serving plate, garnish with olive oil, olives, or summak.

A hand mixer would mush up the chick peas but your finished product will not have the smooth consistency of commercial hummus.
