TURKEY AND CABBAGE ROLL CASSEROLE | |
1 lb ground turkey breast 1 diced onion 1/2 diced celery 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper 2 tbsp rolled oats 1 tbsp chopped parsley salt and pepper, to taste 1/4 tsp garlic powder 3 tbsp packed light brown sugar 1 small head cabbage 1 (15 oz can) tomato sauce 1/4 cup cider vinegar In a large skillet, over medium-high heat cook turkey, onions, celery, and green bell pepper until browned, drain. Sprinkle meat mix with oats, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Core cabbage, cut into wedges. Place on top of meat mix. In a bowl, combine tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, mix well. Pour over cabbage mix. Cover, simmer 20-30 minutes or until cabbage is cooked. Submitted by: Sherry Monfils |
