SKILLET SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS | |
2 tbsp. olive oil 1 1/2 lbs. mild or hot Italian sausage 1 lg. green pepper, sliced 1 (28 oz.) can whole Italian tomatoes 1 med. onion, sliced into rings 1/2 c. red wine 1 sm. can tomato paste 1/4 c. water 1 sm. can mushroom pieces, drained Over medium high heat, heat oil in large skillet. Add sausage and brown. Add pepper and onion, and saute until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally. For 30 minutes. Delicious served over egg noodles. |
