SOUR CREAM WALNUT CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, separated
3 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time. Add lemon rind. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until done. While still hot, baste with the following sauce.

SAUCE:

Mix and bring to a boil 1/2 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons orange juice, and 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
