Jackpots

I've been making jackpots for years. Skip the onion. Use a log of Bob Evans of Tennessee Pride sausage instead of ground beef. Mozzarella instead of cheddar. Original open pit BBQ sauce is the best just lightly coat sausage and add brown sugar to taste. I don't think they make hungry jack biscuits anymore and they were great for this recipe. I use grands jr. golden layers honey butter biscuits and I leave the package opened and covered overnight in the fridge. This changes the consistency of the biscuits for the better I think. My dad preferred hamburger but everyone I've served the sausage jackpot to loved them

Love these! I serve them with a side of Ranch sauce for dipping and they're perfect as is. Variations to this is pizza jackpots with pepperoni and marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella or pot pie jackpots with a can of mixed veggies and brown gravy instead of the bbq sauce and brown sugar.
