HEAVENLY HAM BEAN SOUP | |
1/2 c. pinto beans 1/2 c dry chick peas 1/2 c. dry Great Northern beans 1/2 c. dry baby limas 1 ham bone 10 cups water 1 bay leaf 1 clove garlic, minced 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 celery stalk, chopped 1 carrot, sliced Wash beans and soak overnight, drain, place beans in pot with 10 cups water and all remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 3-4 hours or until done. Add pepper to taste. Remove ham bone and bay leaf. Cut ham off bone and return to soup. |
