CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. lard
2 eggs
1 c. sweet or sour milk
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
hot coffee

Mix brown sugar and lard, then add eggs, milk and 1/4 cup cocoa. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and then the dry ingredients.

Bake at 375°F.

Frost while warm with mixture of powdered sugar, butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, 1 teaspoon vanilla and enough hot coffee to spread.
