TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix, mix as directed 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels 1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk 3/4 c. butter 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) Grease and flour 9x13 pan. Pour 1/2 batter into pan and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels, milk and butter. When cake is finished, pour caramel mixture over cake (reserve 1/4 cup for top if desired). Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Pour remaining cake mixture over top. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Top with reserved caramel and nuts if desired. |
