TOMATO SOUP CAKE | |
Mix together: 1/2 c. Crisco 1 1/4 c. sugar Mix and add to above: 1 can tomato soup 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tbsp. hot water Beat in: 1 egg Then add and mix well: 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cloves Add: 1 c. raisins, dates, nuts Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. CREAM CHEESE FROSTING FOR ABOVE CAKE: 1 sm. pkg. cream cheese Soften with: 2 tbsp. cream or milk Vanilla Dash of salt Add enough confectioners' sugar to make it of spreading consistency. |
