CUCUMBER RING PICKLE 
5 lbs. white sugar
1 1/2 pts. cider vinegar
1/3 c. whole allspice
1/8 c. black pepper
Garlic to taste
A few cloves

Put all together and boil. Add 1/2 cup tarragon vinegar and 3/4 cup olive oil. Take 6 large sour pickle cucumbers and cut into 1/2-inch slices. Put these into the mixture and set aside for 3 weeks, stirring each day. Particularly good.
