BAKED RED CABBAGE 
4 c. shredded raw red cabbage
1 c. shredded fresh or canned pineapple
1 lg. apple, pared and chopped
1 med. onion, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar or red wine
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. sugar

Butter casserole. Arrange a layer of cabbage in the dish. Cover with part of the pineapple, apple and onion. Mix salt and sugar and sprinkle some of it over the layer. Repeat until all the ingredients are used. Pour vinegar or wine over, dot with butter. Cover and bake 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 minutes more, approximately.
