LACE COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter, syrup and sugar in heavy skillet, heat just to boiling. Remove from heat, stir in flour, vanilla and nuts. Drop by scant teaspoons 3 inches apart on foil covered cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes. Cool before removing.
