ENGLISH LACE COOKIES | |
1 c. butter 1 tbsp. white syrup 2 tbsp. water 1 c. flour 1 c. fine coconut 1 c. oatmeal 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter, water and syrup and pour over remaining ingredients. Stir with a fork. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet, allowing plenty of room to spread (about 2 inches apart). Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before removing from the sheet. |
