CHRISTMAS WREATH COFFEE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. melted Crisco
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

STREUSEL:

1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. Crisco

CAKE: Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine remaining ingredients. Stir all at once into flour mixture, just until blended.

STREUSEL: Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in Crisco until crumbly. Put 1/2 streusel mixture in greased 1 quart ring mold. Top with 1/2 the batter. Repeat layers. Bake for 30 minutes in preheated 375 degree oven. Cool 10 minutes. Invert on wire rack and cool. Drizzle with confectioners' glaze. (I color my glaze with red and green food coloring.)
