CHRISTMAS WREATH COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco or butter
1/3 c. sour cream
1/3 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 egg
1 tsp. grated lemon rind

Cream sugar and shortening. Add the egg, beat well. Combine sour cream, soda and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with flour. Beat until smooth. Chill until firm. Roll out the dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with donut cutter. Decorate each cookie with candied fruit. Bake on greased baking sheet at 375 degrees, 10 minutes.

Or frost with green frosting and decorate with small pieces of cherry.
