SAUERKRAUT 
1 qt. sauerkraut
2 onions
1 pork chop
1 bay leaf
2 whole allspice
2 whole peppercorns

Pour sauerkraut into 2 1/2 to 3 quart covered pan. Cover sauerkraut with water and bring to a boil. Then turn to simmer and add 1 onion, 1 bay leaf, 2 whole allspice and 2 whole peppercorns. Saute 1 onion and 1 diced pork chop. After sauerkraut has simmered for 1 hour, add mixture of onion and pork. Continue to simmer for 1 1/2 hours more. If during simmering mixture becomes dry, add water gradually. Have at least 1-1 1/2 inches of liquid at all times.
