CHEESE AND PASTA | |
2 lb. lean ground beef Sm. amount of vegetable oil 2 med. onions, chopped 1 garlic clove, crushed (I use salt or powder) 1 (14 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce 1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes 1 (3 oz.) can sliced broiled mushrooms 1 (8 oz.) box macaroni, cooked 1 1/2 pt. sour cream 1 (1/2 lb.) pkg. sliced provolone cheese 1 (1/2 lb.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, sliced Cook ground beef in a little oil. Drain off fat. Add onions, garlic, spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes and undrained mushrooms. Mix well. Simmer 20 minutes or until onions are soft. Cook macaroni, drain and rinse with cold water. Put macaroni in dish, then sauce. Spread with sour cream. Top with cheeses. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes (covered) |
