PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. sifted Gold Medal flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla

Mix first 5 ingredients together thoroughly. Sift together rest of ingredients and stir in. Chill dough. Roll into large balls. Place 3 inches apart. Flatten with fork, crisscross. Bake until set at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or less, not hard. Makes about 3 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies.
