I had to add a little more water and I threw in some M&Ms. Just put them in the oven I hope they turn out good.

I used dark chocolate mix, didn't have much of a chocolate taste but did look like a brownie. I added a fudge icing on top and made it better :)

With mines I use German chocolate cake mix, added peppermint extract and white chocolate chips. Then drizzled some melted chocolate on top. My friends really loved it.

This recipe is close to chocolate cake mix cookies with peanut butter chips (which I love) so thought I would give it a try. I followed the main recipe exactly and then added 2 cups peanut butter chips. Since it was so thick I pressed the batter in 9x13 pan. It worked perfectly and puffed up nicely when it baked. Baked 20 minutes. Came out rich and chewy. (I used super moist fudge cake mix)

More fun than brownie mix! These came out so dense and chewy delicious, my kids and I ate them up right away. I used this recipe as a guide, using one Betty Crocker Super Moist Chocolate Fudge cake mix, 1/4 cup. melted butter, 1/2 cup. melted hot fudge, about 3/4 cup. mini chocolate chips, one egg, and 1/4 cup. water. Very thick to spread in the pan, but turned out great! I like them better than any brownie mix I've used (and I have probably tried them all!)

I am going to try this and use coconut oil and zucchini and pecans for our treats for the yearly blood drive... Was going to make zucchini chocolate cake but thing brownies will be easier to serve...

I shockingly ran out of brownie mix (gasp!) and found my way here. So after reading all the reviews (ok not ALL) I have no idea what I added lol... but here's my best recall, I did 2 tbsp. of sour cream because I was out of mayo, 2 tbsp. of decaf instant coffee granules, approx 1/2 cup water, approx 1/4 cup oil since I was low on butter (hence the sour cream) and 2 eggs, 13x9 bottom greased pan, approx 25min.. the batter had nice texture, the coffee aroma was oh so lovely and the final product was a nice balance of cakey/chewy.. brought to friends birthday and none were left :) boo yah!

For my cake mix, I used Pillsbury Moist Supreme Devils Food cake mix followed the recipe but it didn't mix it was too dry so after all was said and mix was in the oven I had added 2/3 cups oil plus 2 caps, I put in about 3/4 cups water 2 eggs and about 1/3 cup Nesquik chocolate powder for extra chocolate flavor not to mention semi sweet and milk chocolate chips in and on top. I'm now waiting for the end result from the oven

They were in for about 25-27 minutes and came out perfect!! I love this recipe and I will use it again and again!! (With my additives of course lol)

I have a recipe for Buckeye Brownies using peanut butter and powdered sugar balls in the centers. But I didn't have a brownie mix on hand so I opted to make them using the cake mix. Since I gave this a whirl, instead of doing the pb center balls- I just popped a mini reeses cup in the center. Fingers crossed.

I used a Devil's Food mix hoping for rich chocolatey brownies. Read the reviews and used recipe above. 1 tbsp. melted butter, 3/4 cup chocolate chips and 2 tbsp. extra water. Spread into a 9x11 glass greased pan and baked at 350°F for 26 minutes. The result was weakly chocolate fudgey cakey brownies, very moist, not at all chewey. Glad for the choc-chips or would have been bland. Will try again with a different brand, more oil or butter.

I just tried this recipe today. In addition to the above, I added 1/4 cup peanut butter chips, 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips and 2 tbsp. instant cappuccino to the mix. I used my bite sized muffins pan as well. The brownie bites turned out very moist and taste so good! Thanks!

No matter what, the easiest recipe does not turn out for me! Why did this just turn out like cake? I followed it perfectly, and no richness, no gooeyness, no heaviness. Not at all like a brownie. Must be me.
